I’ve been using AVG’s Alarm Clock Extreme and am looking to make the switch to a libre option. Any recommendations? The more customization options, the better. I go crazy with my alarm optimization.

Just the system embedded LOS alarm clock. I don’t trust any third party alarm clock apps to work when I need them to.

Same here. I guess it’s just an AOSP standard but it has all the clock functions I need.

          Android’s is pretty good.

Can reschedule repeat alarms to sound at the next scheduled time if you need to disable the current one with just a flip of the toggle and a confirmation.

Also, I love being able to schedule alarms out indefinitely. I use it to remember appts. that are over a year out.

Wait, how do you schedule alarms indefinitely? I tried to do this in calendar but it just displays a notification (which I can miss).

In the clock app on android, click the plus at the top, then click which day to repeat.

Alternatively, click the calendar icon after clicking the plus at the top and select the date.

I use Sleep as Android for:

    1. Great softer sounds that can be adjusted to gently increase alarm audio. I use bird sounds.
    2. It can control lighting too.
    3. It’s smartwake looks at my sleep stage to choose the best time to wake on the window of time I allow. It uses my watch to measure sleep stages, but works with numerous other watches, chest straps, etc. or also has its own Sonar function using ultrasonic to detect stages from movement.

But chiefly it also has other stuff I use apart from the waking alarms such as sleep stats, warning for bedtime, lullabies when going to sleep, anti-snoring measures, noise recordings, 30 min power nap management, etc.

Yeah, it’s not FOSS, but sleep as android is great. You can set various “captchas” that need to be completed to turn the alarm off, you can connect it to smart home stuff to turn on/off lights or open curtains and the general customisability for the alarm settings is extensive.

Yep, the captchas are great. I’ve got mine set to an NFC card in another room. It forces me to get out of bed and walk to another room to tap my phone on it to turn off the alarm.

Clock You. The You suite has some great apps, I use almost all of them. Not only are they libre but they have attractive and very useful GUIs.
