Tasks.org is great. I use it with a CalDAV server.

If you want to do a bit of engineering: CalDAV supports todo lists. I forget what server software I’ve got running, but I sync the list to my android phone via DAVx5 and tick off/add items via tasks. For other platforms you can just look for CalDAV-supported programs (most email apps.)
Can’t you just put the key in? Do they even have physical keys?
Glad it worked. Have fun!
Do you need streaming?
Direct file playback via Kodi is better in every way IF all you need is local playback within your LAN and have devices that can run it. If you’ve got decent upload then it’ll work outside of it, too. Kodi also supports syncing between devices if you set up a MySQL database. Definitely not as simple as spinning up Plex/Emby/Jellyfin, though.
I know they removed it. The post was in reference to Lemmy’s development history, not the current source release.
Edit: Too many people are misunderstanding this post, so I’m removing its contents. To clarify: No checks exist in the current version of Lemmy - these were parts of previous versions.

Friend of mine lives in bumfuck nowhere here in the US (like, no access to running water if it goes without raining for a few weeks - that kind of rural) and has gigabit up/down for $60 somehow. Meanwhile, there’s 2 or 3 ISPs in my area who will gladly take $60 for half that speed and dog shit upload. I pay for both a resi and biz line and the latter is the same speed for $15 more. Criminal.
Waiting for them to go live in my neck of the woods. Bookmarked!
Look into traefik. Once it’s set up I add a few labels to my compose files and traefik handles the rest.
RE: Your edit. Votes are public. OP didn’t downvote you. You, however, downvoted OP when they replied to your question. No idea why you’d do that when all they did was answer your question. FWIW I upvoted your comment so it doesn’t get buried, but yeah, people shouldn’t be downvoting posts unless they’re off topic or against the rules IMO. No need to weaponize them.
