Storage space is not an issue for me and it wouldn’t be for others if this was optional. I guess the only problem is, as you say, where to get satellite images for an app that doesn’t make money.

They’ve just convinced me to try it. It looks surprisingly good. I’d only wish there was a satellite layer. Or is there a way to download it?

Browsers also keep the bookmarks locally with an option to sync. You can export/import them too if needed. Sorry, still not seeing an added value of an external bookmark manager.

Unless what you’re trying to say is that it backs up the websites themselves locally then… that’s at least interesting.

Good news is that you can turn off most ads, including app promotions in Windows 11’s start menu.

For now, but you have to be extremely naive to believe they don’t plan to change this as soons as they reach a certain number of users. They already did things like that in the past.

I actually had Obsidian installed and it looks like something I’d like if I spend more time on a computer but nowadays I’m mostly using phone for Internet activity. I couldn’t get canvas to work on my phone for some reason. It also lack reminders which is wuite crucial for me.

Hey, that TinyList.app is actually very good but unfortunately it’s missing a quite crucial feature - reminders… Nevertheless I will be watching its career with great interest.

I don’t even need it to be (self)hosted, it can be an offline Android app that looks and behaves like Keep, but is not made by Google.

So notes arranged together, tick boxes, reminders, dark theme.

That’s like switching from cholera to plague.
