Freetube just loads the videos from YouTube directly if you don’t activate the proxy option (which will use Invidious or Piped, haven’t used Freetube in a while so idk which one it was)

DNS should be working, I manually set the DNS server. I don’t really wanna install docker tho, I feel like that could cause other issues. If it only works in docker, that doesn’t really help me anyway, does it?
No, is that required?
There’s @loops@pixelfed.social, which is getting a beta release soon
There’s a lot of FOSS music apps that just use YTMusic, like ViMusic or the ones other people mentioned in their replies. For maps, I use Organic Maps, the only thing I feel like is missing from it is traffic jams but I think you can see why that would be hard to add. It does have features that Google Maps doesn’t have tho.
Thanks, I’m gonna selfhost it then. What you said about the piped components sounds interesting, is there like a list of them?
It means you don’t have to release the source code of your software if you use the source code of the open source project
I have Fedora installed on my system (don’t know how the situation is on other distros regarding rocm) and my GPU is an RX 6700 XT. For image generation I use stable duffusion webui and for LLMs I use text generation webui. Both installed everything they needed by themselves and work perfectly fine on my AMD GPU. I can also give you more info if there’s anything else you wanna know.
I actually use an AMD card for running image generation and LLMs on my PC on Linux. It’s actually not hard to set up.
I use Grocy for the shopping list feature. It has a lot more functionality tho.
What did they do?
I have Home Assistant running with TTS and STT on a mini PC with an Intel N100 CPU and 16 gigs of RAM. Works great. LLMs and Stable Diffusion need way more procesing power and RAM (or rather VRAM cause both are very slow without a GPU), so that mini PC wouldn’t be enough for that tho.
You could use the split-screen thing to have two apps opened at the same time. Someone else also already commented that there’s a setting to allow the app unrestricted battery usage, which basically allows it to run in the background without getting killed.
What makes W11 worse than W10 in that regard?
If it’s not available as an application, you should probably look into docker compose
The 2-week fortnite phase every few months is currently the only reason I boot into Windows
I use a refurbished 10tb HDD for my server too and it works just fine
