I’m using video download helper, an extension for firefox https://www.downloadhelper.net/ and it can download about every video from web site. At one time it was not able so it asked me to install a Companion App and with it was able to dl from anime site and all.
Yeah, again, I saw this, there is multiple fork… I’m still using the latest 2.4.0 from 2021, I’ll see if it’s compatible.

I learnt COBOL (I’m old) it’s a very easy language, you basically talk, for instance to do c=a*b you write:
MULTIPLY A TO B GIVING C
and everything is tabbed, but in a good editor like emacs, it’s done automatically pretty well.

I was using Norton Commander in DOS in the 90s, then WindowsCommander in Windows 3, which was renamed TotalCommander. Using this for maybe 35 years. I don’t know how to use Windows gui to copy/paste or explore multiple folders etc.

I worked in broadcasting (programming broadcasting applications), everything is done with PTP (Precise Time Protocol) and TC (timecode) in video. We had to support leap second, it’s not as easy, but in the end, insert black frames for 1s and that’s it.

Well, for android at least I understand that app used for paying (Google Wallet, Samsung Pay, Bank apps) are blocked in a root environment, you never know if the app could get compromised and your bank account emptied or whatever. For the remaining, yeah it’s shitty…
To access Linux from Windows, you need to install xrdp in Linux, if using Ubuntu there was some install problem and a guy made a script to properly install it.
To access windows from Linux, use remmina in Linux, it works pretty well I’m using it daily. Remmina can use a lot of remote protocol, FreeRDP is one of them.
