It looks better imo
Also you will have to check whether k9 will still receive updates

“See source, no touch source” is called source-available.
“touch source, no sell source” is a new phenomenom and there are multiple names to describe this. I personally like “fair-source” though.
IMO:
The Frontend is the Problem. I borderline don’t even want to use it anymore.
Also it’d be nice if it somehow synced with my laptop
Even better.
It’s opt-in instead of opt -out
Even then, he’s still allowed to provide binary blobs. He doesn’t have to provide it as source code. If that was the case, we’d all have to build from source and package managers like apt, dnf and flatpak wouldn’t exist.
All he has to do is make the source code available, i.e. just link back to the original Github Repo.
Licence doesn’t apply to the creator.
He already owns the copyright, he doesn’t need a licence, he doesn’t need to adhere to the gpl
Proxmox or Unraid?
If you want MAC (SELinux or Apparmor) (which I highly recommend) then use Silverblue / CoreOS or even SUSE MicroOS
otherwise I use NixOS. (But like I said, I’m possibly looking into switching because of lacking MAC)
just do MAC
cries in NixOS
Ironic, given that iOS and Android are more secure than “real” OSes such as MacOS, Linux or Windows
Reddit has always had ads. That’s a stupid Argument.
Nebula is what I am using

Decided on Davis (based on Baikal) for anyone stumbling over this later on.
Can’t do Nr. 3, but that’s fine for me at the Moment
Radicale is really cool, but it just wasn’t for mee. Too barebones. No GUI, no sharing.
Baikal was pretty nice.
Though if you want sharing, Davis is probably the best. It’s the same Server as Baikal but a different GUI.
Any Reason Signal doesn’t do it?
Selfhosted isn’t always the Best option
i actually think NPM is more confusing. 1: there are practically always already finished Files for Caddy V2. Most of the times directly in the Repo of the Project. A lot of Devs use Caddy themselves. 2: NPM exposes a lot of Options additionally. This can confuse newcomers. With Caddy, all these extra options are invisible. you just write and see “reverse_proxy jellyfin” and that’s it.
If you are new i recommend “Caddy V2”
It is by far the easiest.
Wait with Nginx until you’re better. (and even then, use linuxserverio/swag instead of nginx)
Dang. Mine are named after ancient Gods, so my first Server was named Neptune too.
Welcome to the Club.
But do they?
No.
