yeah frankly this post is borderline misinformation, they specifically import a library to read comments as arguments, it’s like redefining keywords in C and complaining about C being dumb

and of course at the lowest level the particle interactions are all calculated by cueball using rocks in a desert
as if the technology is what makes livestream services difficult anyways lmao
it’s just expensive as shit because it involves a lot of data
well why is it good? why not just assume the boilerplate as the default and require the user to override it if they want to do something fancy?
it’s just busywork to always need to write the same stuff, and it also makes the code less readable and many people look at all that boilerplate and nope the fuck out.
This is why python is so good for getting people to realize that programming isn’t magic, you just write the equivalent of one short sentence and BAM text in the terminal, no need to import the basic ability to print text which is so incredibly inane.
that stupid huge amount of packages is honestly a pretty big UX issue, at least personally that just makes me chuckle at their optimism and close the page as every bit of energy i had vaporizes from the thought of figuring out what to download.
almost like it has box in the name for some sort of reason
also worth pointing out that fdroid supports reproducible builds, which helps quite a bit with being trustable.
//forgive my sins, it took me 2 hours to nail down this arcane spell. if anyone touches this they will know my wrath
=(/&)((//((%=)(&)%)(&()
and judging by user numbers the answer is matrix lmao
do you know what the average mobile app looks like? lmao
have you ever walked through a doorway and forgotten what you were doing? even god struggles with memory managemeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee- Process exited with code 1
no i will NOT use more than one line in my scripts
why would it not have brackets? i detest syntax that is only applicable to a handful of situations and has to be specifically memorized separately from how every other part of the language works.
fwiw lawnchair beta works absolutely fine for me, i guess it can’t do anything fancy with the app drawer but like, that’s why you have a home screen…
i will never understand why people think this is a sensible response, just because someone says “it’s not an unsolvable problem” doesn’t mean they think it’s trivial for a toddler to implement in an evening.
i have absolutely seen multiple projects on github that specifically tell you to do “npm run” as part of deploying it.
you hear that said about AI because companies are desperately throwing more and more resources at it to get 0.3% better results, and people are collectively running an insane amount of prompts all the time.
but on a personal level it’s not really any different from any other computations, people render videos all the time and no one complains about the resource usage from that, because companies aren’t trying to sell bloated video rendering services to gardening businesses.
because OP wanted upvotes, this isn’t actually part of python in any way, it’s using a custom library to do it.
