How does one self-host Obsidian? Does that just mean file sync? What am I missing?
Hub switches, for one. Power is another (usb a is easier to solder on by hand, as well as cheaper)
Not for me, went back to ShareX. I can’t find anything that does all the things and better.
Flameshot was great, but for me, no window select (on Win) and no plan to implement is a deal breaker, thoughi understandthe reasons.
Also breaks when moving between docks - has to be restarted, and pinned images go under the screen, if pinned at the bottom (they always shift down).
While I like the UI, it makes it awkward to quickly find the icon needed on small crops, since they keep shifting around.
Those’re probably containerised.
Well, a large part of the issue are all the damn exceptions
Corps sure can’t
There’s an android version too, for any non-apple tableteers.

True, but everything is more bandwidth demanding these days, plus we’re used to fast loading.
I have Kobo Forma. Selecting text doesn’t work well, and it seems the battery always drains quickly in sleep mode. But otherwise very good, love the large screen.
I switched recently from Trillium.
After installing two dozens plugins, it may just replace my KB site, note apps, task manager and PRM all at once.
In case you’re familiar with Obsidian, there’s Quartz: quartz.jzhao.xyz/ Runs in docker too, practically zero config to start
