For now, but DP and specially DP over USB-C is becoming gradually more popular for computer hardware, someone paying 400 euros for a GPU doesn’t mind paying 10 bucks extra on an adapter if they have an HDMI monitor. But most monitors nowadays come with DP anyway.

Then I may tell them “this way the CIA (don’t say NSA, older people usually don’t know what NSA is, but they know CIA) or those capitalist companies can’t spy on me”
And I don’t find a need to go into more detail, at this point the conversation has either moved on or they say “but I have nothing to hide” and move on anyway.
Block or revert updates or install via adb/shizuko if that still works. Otherwise I will have to start saving for an expensive phone that supports custom ROMs.

At some point I used to pay for it (I have a costum domain), but then I ran out of money and couldn’t pay. I had the old price too, which was 12 Euros a year.
Now I think the price is the same as proton so if I were to pay for email again, I would probably get proton instead, because proton supports GPG and I think tuta doesn’t.
In the end it doesn’t matter because 100% of my contacts either use gmail, outlook or some business server and I don’t know anyone who uses GPG.
