Ouch. I know Bandcamp isn’t owned by its founders anymore, and the new owners in theory are sketch… But it’s still close to the best webstore ever conceived for music. The payment processing alone is worth it. What is Faircamp in that space?
Not a shill. Don’t like Nvidia. But, this drop-in replacement is more like a framework for a future fully compatible drop-in replacement than a fully functional one. It’s like wine from two decades ago to windows – you might get a few things to work…
I use Connect for Lemmy. It’s as free, but closed source. The developer is available and fairly responsive in !lemmyconnect@lemmy.ca
I recommend opting into the beta version on the Playstore to get some features a little earlier. For example, Lemmy 0.19 introduces the new Scaled and Controversial sort options, which are amazing – particularly Scaled if you’re subscribed to smaller communities. However, Connect for Lemmy only has that sort option in the beta at the moment.
The only thing I don’t like is that you cannot paste images from the clipboard into comments.
For a time, konqueror was a thing. Khtml was even used as the basis for safari and WebKit, and later Chrome. Could always reinvigorate that project.
Awesome 👍
Depending on the carrot, the skin can be significantly more bitter. And sometimes peeling can be quicker than trying to scrub dirt out of particular lumpy carrots.
YMMV
