Kinoite has my heart forever
For reference, is this more like inkscape, more like filgma, or a mix between the two?
This sounds like you’re referring to scrobbling. ~~Try https://last.fm~~
Edit: last.mf is closed source. It sounds like ListenBrainz or LibreFM is the foss option
This looks like such a good way to learn rust! I’m gonna try the same thing
For anyone wondering, here is the difference between uMatrix and uBlock Origin: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=24533329
No problem! I understand that every project is a little bit different. That’s the beauty of Foss, after all! Just because one solution doesn’t work for me does not mean that it won’t work for everyone. Keep up the good work!
Pros
Cons
Personally, I’m going to stick to Obsidian, because my notes are already there, in markdown, and I can encrypt them with GPG if I want to. But I love to see other options in this space!
The ultimate test for a Lemmy reader app: does it seg fault?
Honestly, it’s kinda sad that LTT is so popular when more than half of his videos are endorsements for products he doesn’t even care about
Just curious, what makes Jerboa the “official” Lemmy app?
Voyager is nice. It does look a little weird on android, but it’s kind of a nice look, imho
If you’re a real nerd, you could look into org-mode. Doom-Emacs is great on the deskrop and Orgzly is awesome on my phone. Orgzly also has some useful widgets. No luck on natural language dates, tho
Text version:
Downloaded a virus for Linux lately and
unpacked it.
Tried to run it as root, didn’t work.
Googled for 2 hours, found out that
instead of /usr/local/bin
the virus
unpacked to /usr/bin
for which the
user malware doesn’t have any write
permissions, therefore the virus couldn’t
create a process file.
Found patched .configure and .make
files on some Chinese forum, recompiled
and rerun it.
The virus said it needs the library
cmalw-lib-2.0
.Turns out
cmalw-lib-2.0
is shipped with CentOS
but not with Ubuntu. Googled for hours
again and found an instruction to build
a.deb package from source.
The virus finally started, wrote some
logs, made a core dump and crashed.
After 1 hour of going through the logs
I discovered the virus assumed it was
running on ext4 and called into its disk
encryption API. Under btrfs this API
is deprecated. The kernel noticed and
made this partition read-only
Opened the sources, grep’ed the Bitcoin wallet and sent $5 out of pity.
What’s so bad about pip? Imho, the venv thing is really nice
Also just the texture is a giveaway
Ah, I see. My C skills could use some brushing up
Bro’s a genius
