This article reads like a corporate job ad written by an HR manager instead of somebody that actually knows anything about the subject. I had to bail.

On Windows, almost never since it was a disruptive shitshow. Now that I’ve got everything running Linux it’s weekly. Often sooner if I happen to be remoting in and manually update.

If you’re looking to buy in bulk:

Something that I’d like to point out that a lot of people seem to miss, is that power saving is not always about saving money.
I live off-grid, so for me it’s about not draining my battery bank, which is a precious and limited resource. It can make the difference between getting by on solar power or having to run a generator to recoup the losses.
Running a generator uses fuel (another limited resource), it’s loud, and produces heat and exhaust. It’s the last thing I ever want to do if I can avoid it. Depending on the time and location it may not even be an option.

I had to scroll down too far to find something like this.
If you’re home the solution is simple. If you’re not home, then they’ll likely steal an inexpensive boomstick rather than your network gear.

I second smbsync2 for phone backup. It’s very customizable and once setup, just works.
I also use syncthing but only for syncing files I want to be the same on all devices. FreeTube watch history and subscriptions, stuff like that.

So the person that was maintaining the old android version is focusing on maintaining lemmy.

I didn’t realize it was out already. Last I heard they just slapped the name on K9-Mail.
My comparison is vs the desktop version of Thunderbird.

This is the closest thing to Thunderbird you can get on Android!

What platforms does this run on?

Came here to say this. Just make a macro of anything you’re doing regularly. As much as I’d like to get away from Adobe, photoshop has some really good macro functionality.

This is the way.

Does this mean I won’t have to restart my 5Ghz radio once a week anymore?

It works but as others have said, you need a tiny version of it so accuracy takes a large hit. I’m sure it still has it’s uses but keep your expectations low.
Is this fork going to keep up each time g∞gle decides to play cat & mouse? We’re about due for another round.
