I got my refurbished Pixel 7a and a rugged case for $190 in total and installed Graphene on it. I’m planning to use it for at least 10 years.
Installing Graphene was so easy, it was done by clicking on a web page few times.
You’re not in the sudoers file. This Incident will be reported.

2·1 month agoIt can send files, but that’s all. Also, kdeconnect doesn’t work over the Internet
Just delete your post already, what’s the point of letting it still there deleting all your comments?
Buy a PC, install debian, install tailscale, install immich. Done.

2·3 months agoI didn’t know about dokploy tbh, thanks. It seems to have more refurbished UI. If I knew this first I would have given it a try. The reason why I’m using coolify right now is that I saw it on Hackernews. I didn’t do much research because it was already opensource and self-hosted ( which are the most important features I require for a software).
Since Coolify is working fine on my environment for now, I’m not going to get rid of it immediately, but it’s always a good thing to have many other alternatives so that we can cope with enshittification (aka Plex)

2·3 months agoIt maybe off topic but I’ve been using coolify for my homelab setup and it’s been working great. It manages all the docker compose files for you and you can edit and deploy them, all from the nice webui it comes with. You can even access the terminal without leaving your browser. Drawback is that you well not get “hardlinking everything” type of flexibility.
You can disable the builtin display or just get rid of it physically
You’re kind of rude to assume that they are not sensible enough not to trust what ChatGPT says blindly. I also use LLMs but I check if everyhing is alright before I do anything it suggested me to. IMO, it’s okay to use LLMs if you can learn something from it. (but I can’t afford a server with a GPU, sadly)
Macbook Pro should work fine. Buy extra PCs if you it’s not enough for you. Also, I recommend buying a domain from a legit provider

Maybe yeah. In fact, the only video I’ve ever watched on LBRY is from a YouTuber named Mental Outlaw
How about LBRY? Do you think it’s a sane alternative to YT? I also think peertube is the true freedom, though, I was surprised how quick videos load on odysee

While being controversial, rye is very good for small personal projects. It does pretty much everything from python version management to project scaffolding.
Python is a general purpose language. Yes you can do ML stuff and some mathematics, but that doesn’t mean you need to do them.

Oh my god it had releases. I didn’t read the text, just saw “Get it on Google Play” and noped out. Thanks for pointing out. ( I wonder who install a lemmy client from play store though )
I’m currently using it and it feels great. The UI is smooth and looks beautiful.
