1·1 month agoThanks for your comment! I’m considering maybe a Sofabaton…What’s the difference between the X and the U models? The X1S and X2 seem to have a…base/dock? What’s that for?

1·1 month agoThanks for your comment! The Sofabaton is something I might be considering. Can it be programmed without the app? Does it have an internal database of devices, or it needs to download each individual device from the app each time? I’d like it to be rather…independent, and offline…But not sure if that’s possible.
And…If you had the opportunity to buy another Harmony, would you? Seems there’s still some available for sale in my area. Do I depend on any service from Logitech? Any app that needs to be online, servers, etc? Or can it operate on its own offline

1·1 month agoIsn’t this thing forbidden in some countries? As in, I might get in trouble if detected in the luggage. I’d like this to be a device I can pack in and just travel around.

1·1 month agoNope, volume keys for some reason don’t quite register, and it definitely doesn’t flip to the HDMI connection it’s using.

12·2 months agoMy recommendation would be to have a gadgetbridge supported device (and read how well supported it is, some devices need some convoluted pairing process the first time). It can do so many things by now it’s becoming silly. I love this app.

3·3 months agoFor that kind of stuff I just use Gadgetbridge which is amazing at figuring ways to pair with your Bluetooth tracker/smart watch/band/headset/about anything they can figure. Their devices supported list is… Really long these days.

2·4 months agoThank you very much for this reply. I didn’t need to stick to claude or openclaw at all, I definitely don’t want to give any model any free reign over my data. It’s just the ones I’ve seen mentioned the most, I guess. But I’d like to be able to run it all locally, and only on command. Your answer is exactly what I needed. I’m gonna study carefully the options you provided, and I might go from here. Again, thanks!

1·4 months agoThanks! I have an understanding of being able to run these models as LLM you can chat with, using tools like ollama or GPT4All. My question would be, how do I go from that to actually do things for me, handle files, etc. As it stands, if I run any of these locally, it’s just able to answer offline questions, and that’s about it…how about these “skills”, where it can go fetch files, or go find an specific URL, or say a summary of what a youtube video is about based on what’s being said in it?

71·6 months agoDoesn’t this sound awfully similar to the Mini disc technology? The discs were only writable when heated by a laser. They were pretty impressive for the time… But not very fast. Especially when writing.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Sonarr and the codecs/formats...what am I missing?English
1·6 months agoSigh. When in doubt…reboot. Seems the evaluation doesn’t necessary update or re-evaluate after some changes to the qualities/formats have been done. But after I rebooted, it immediately imported the files.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Sonarr and the codecs/formats...what am I missing?English
1·6 months agoYou mean it would have to also be…bigger data bitrate regardless of codec or… a higher position hierarchically in the quality list? As in, having to change the ‘quality’ from WebRIP-1080p to WebDL-1080p which somehow is one step further in the list? That would then trigger the custom format sections, ONLY? That would make shittier codecs but bigger files always win in this rating right?

1·6 months agoHere’s a bunch of screenshots attached! I find interesting that if I use the parsing tool to test on a filename that’s getting a zero score in the error message, on the parsing tool it gets a 39, which should be plenty justified for a file upgrade.

1·6 months agoI think so! I mean, it’s giving it a full zero. The other custom format in the profile has a 10, and that’s correctly applied.
Thanks…I had no idea about Wholphin. I’ll be trying it very soon. I was honestly hoping for some sort of way for people to notice the newer releases instead of the constant spamming from episodes they already might know about. Kinda how Netflix puts some titles on a bigger marquee than others. I reckon that involves a completely different skin, but not sure any does this.
