I’ve been using that for a while. I like the control I have in that I understand where everything is stored and encrypted. I miss the way that Google password manager had the autofill for seemingly every page nailed though.

Tbh I generally take 3 goes to make it through a movie. My brain is so fried I can’t sit and watch it in one sitting.
I used otter wiki for mine.
Yep. I was going to use an old one as a security camera but thought better of putting a lithium battery permanently plugged in on a windowsill.

As people have tried to explain - it’s not a website. The UI for the software simply runs via the browser.

I’m a lazy reader so don’t know if this is implemented but it would be cool if it could be done live with the current audio out of the system. I know this was done for streamers etc using OBS/localvocal but it’s a pain to get working in my experience - having to fiddle around with OBS filter settings.

This is how loads of things run these days. Browser handles the UI because it’s way easier to get working on all kinds of different user machines. I don’t like it personally but that’s why.
It’s how pretty much any server dashboard runs.

It’s disingenuous. People think they’re responding to someone’s need/curiousity and in fact they’re being farmed for content by an AI-generated post.

Wonder what this bot is farming for

Syncthing is the closest to what you want.
Reolink are easy and cheap enough.
If you say so
It has gone the same way as physical goods. My parents still have appliances (food mixers things like that) that still work and they bought them in the 1980s. Good luck getting anything to last that long these days.
1080 might manage it
Get a bunch of security cameras and have rolling 2 months of footage if u like. Or download the entire netflix library forever.
Only external access is from my phone via tailscale. I also run Claude code on there so I can remotely do stuff on the server using natural language while away from home.
The server is just a mishmash of old parts I had lying around. I only needed to purchase a case and a drive to get it going.
Server runs ubuntu lts I5 4690k 16gb ddr3 Rtx 2060 6gb Currently about 11tb storage

Getting some cameras and running frigate+ is a good way to utilise the GPU. My 2060 6gb runs 10-30% usage with 3 cameras. Can do cool things like send me a notification using ntfy if a person is seen between 2300-0500 something like that.
I did have ollama set up for local models but I’ve found anything that will run on 6gb isn’t worth using anyway.
Kinda a genius way to deliver a free service to individuals but force companies to pay for it. Just bung some really cringe pic there…
