True! Good and relative safe on my Tailscale network. The only thing I`m brave enough to expose to the big and scary internet/botnet is my little Pi running Headscale, and I’ve put that on a separate network.

1673·7 months agoand it is great 👌🏻- no reason to do everything yourself when you got tools to make it easier.
edit because all the downvotes: 😅 one only mentions the slightest positive thing about AI, and you get massive downvotes. Guess it is human nature to dislike change. Reminds me of a story my grandad told me on how all the taxi “drivers” (that then rode horse and carriage) hated those awful cars. Even mentioning cars had them spitting the ground, swearing. They were surely never going to change…
I think AI is great, and I think it gives us many new ways of doing (or not doing) things. Both positive and negative. And yes I do hate the energy consumption, computer prices etc that it has caused. But this is something that will fix itself given a little time 😊

11·11 months agoPersonally fed up with the greedy streaming companies. Price hikes, movies and series disappearing, lower quality because you don’t pay for the premium deluxe 2.0 subscription, and the most annoying of all: advertisements, even though you do pay $$ for premium deluxe ultra 3.0 pro max subscription.
Selfhost 🙌🏻😊- music is always available, same with movies. Perfect!
…well, almost perfect. It really is quite expensive, but also very fun and rewarding getting it to work.

Thanks. enabled the acme service thingy in the config file. Took me some tries before I understood I had to add port 80:80 from the docker yaml in order for headscale to setup the certificate. I guess I need to keep forwarding both 8080 for Headscale and 80 for certificate renewal.
should I, or is there a reason, to setup fail2ban too?
Nice, thanks for sharing.
