And Final Fantasy XI … kiinnddaa. Not sure if that one’s feature complete yet or ever will be. But there’s a fan server effort for it like RuneScape.

Hello from the rabbit hole. I haven’t seen the light of day in years.

I barely know what food, water or sleep is anymore. But hey! I can turn my lights off and have them come on when sunset occurs. Or they track when I leave my apartment complex property with my cellphone so I don’t waste power and there’s no 3rd party corpo breathing down my shoulder.

I just use BTRFS, make a snapshot and bam

Yes, I have the infrastructure setup. Shits got like 3 backups including a very hard offline 12 TB backup WD blue drive that’s absolutely purely for being nothing but backups for this server

And that’s a fair question. I’m also considering renting a VPS for this, so shouldn’t be too bad on the infrastructure part. And it’d mostly be a few buddies and myself using this.

Even if it doesn’t work out for me, hopefully this thread can be informative for others as well :)
